Business Items

A. 2019 Agency Performance Metrics Review – Jennifer Fink, Director of Parks and
Recreation

Director Fink stated each year, City staff provides budget, program and staffing information
to the National Parks and Recreation Association. That information is uploaded into a park
metrics program. That program then creates and prepares an aggregate report that
compares the specific New Brighton data to other like agencies as well as to all other
agencies that participate. While New Brighton has participated in the program for several
years, it is still something that not many Minnesota agencies have done. Staff shared a
number of key facts from that report to show how New Brighton compares with the rest of
the nation in the area of parks, recreation and leisure services.
