<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission <br />September 4, 2019 City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Axberg. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Pam Axberg (Chair), Amelia Kuiper, Matt Johnson, Zachary <br />Johnson, Abe McEathron, Julia O’Rourke, Mike Santi, and Charles Warner. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Kevin Fields. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Jennifer Fink; Assistant Director Jason Hicks; Candace Amberg, WSB; and <br />Council Member Mary Burg. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by Santi to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 8- <br />0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by McEathron to approve the August 7, 2019 minutes as <br />presented. Motion carried 6-0-2 (M. Johnson and O’Rourke abstained). <br /> <br />V. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Update on the Parks Comprehensive Plan and Initial Findings – Jennifer Fink, Director of <br />Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Director Fink stated WSB had an update on the City’s Parks Comprehensive Plan and will be <br />presenting the Commission with an overview of the parks and trails master planning <br />process that has been completed to-date to include the methods and results on the <br />following: Planning Process Overview, Community Engagement Efforts Completed, Top <br />Ranked Requests/Comments, Building Evaluations, Park Evaluations, Trail Gaps & Safety <br />Issues, 2040 Comprehensive Plan Goals and Priorities, along with the Next Steps which <br />include Concept Planning, Prioritization, Draft Master Plan and Finalize Master Plan. <br />
