Jacobson, Director of Public Safety <br /> <br /> <br />MANAGER'S REVIEW fRECOMMEND~ <br />No comments to supplement this report . <br /> <br />Comments attached <br /> <br />Explanation: <br /> <br />The City of New Brighton has been recognized for finishing 151 in the Nation for cities of 15,000 to 49,999 for <br />our National Night Out activities. The City of New Brighton has a strong history of high performance in all <br />areas of community involvement with a special emphasis on National Night Out. New Brighton has finished in <br />the top five in the nation for the past six years and has been in the top 25 every year for eleven years! This <br />year's effort resulted in the top award for the first time. The City of New Brighton has more than 6,000 <br />residents participate in more than 140 parties city wide. And, participation from Council, City Staff, <br />Commission and Community members resulted in more than 50 volunteers visiting our neighborhood parties. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Accept the 2005 Target National Night Out Cup signifying our 151 Place Finish in the Nation for National Night <br />Out Activities. <br /> <br /> <br />Robert .
