<br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Special Proclamation Recognizing Patrice Holter <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: Jennifer Fink, Director of Park and Recreation <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: Dean Lotter <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Ask Mayor Johnson on behalf of the City Council behalf of the City Council to present Patrice Holter, <br />Recreation Supervisor, with a Proclamation for her 19 years of service to the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />Legislative History: <br />None <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br />None <br /> <br />Explanation: <br />Patrice began her career with the City of New Brighton on April 4, 1999 working part-time with <br />Aquatics. She was then promoted to a full-time position as a Recreation Supervisor. In that capacity <br />she supervised many areas in the department including sports, aquatics, group fitness, membership, <br />guest services, the Eagles Nest, and safety initiatives. She has taken an opportunity in Brooklyn Park, <br />where she will be overseeing Aquatics, Fitness, and assisting them with implementation of a $26 <br />million park bond referendum, all 15 minutes from her new home. <br /> <br />Per the City Employee Handbook, Section 33.3, employees who resign from the City with 10-19 years <br />of service are to receive a framed proclamation from the City Council.
