Proclamation <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS Patrice Holter joined the City New Brighton on April 4, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS During the course of Patrice’s 18 years of service as a Recreation Supervisor she has been <br />responsible for sports, aquatics, fitness, memberships, playgrounds, the original Eagles Nest, <br />facilities and more <br /> <br />WHEREAS Patrice has saved countless lives by teaching and certifying hundreds of American Red Cross <br />Lifeguards and made it possible for thousands of children to learn the lifesaving ability to swim. <br /> <br />WHEREAS Patrice created and implemented the New Brighton Health and Fitness Expo in 2011 and in the <br />last seven years has generated over $100,000 in membership and vendor revenue, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Patrice has generated over $1.4 million in revenue and priceless life lessons and memories <br />through sports camps and fitness programming for the City of New Brighton during her 18 <br />years, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Patrice has been involved and recognized by the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association <br />for her contributions to the parks and recreation field for her time, skills and contributions, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Patrice’s last day with the City of New Brighton was on December 26, 2018 where she leaves <br />the City to begin a new career with the City of Brooklyn Park. She will use the skills and <br />experience gained here to implement new fitness programming, oversee aquatics and <br />marketing, and assist in the implementation of the $26 million park bond referendum program, <br />all only 15 minutes from her home. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE I, VALERIE JOHNSON, in recognition of Patrice’s 19 years of service to the citizens of New <br />Brighton, members of the Parks and Recreation staff and all other City staff, we present this proclamation and <br />offer our sincerest congratulations to: <br /> <br />Patrice Holter <br />and extend our heartfelt thanks, and our fondest wishes for a happy, <br />healthy, and exciting new chapter of employment in Brooklyn Park. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my <br />hand and caused the Seal of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota to be <br />affixed this 22 day of January, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> VALERIE JOHNSON – MAYOR
