April 9, 2019 Page 4 of 4 <br />Council Business <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported the Planning Commission had a vacancy and interviews would <br />be held at an upcoming worksession meeting. He noted Public Works Superintendent Scott <br />Boller would be retiring on April 30th. He explained a retirement party would be held at Moe’s <br />in Mounds View from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on April 30th. He stated the City would have an <br />intern joining the DCAD Department. <br /> <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg thanked staff for their efforts on the recent City Newsletter and <br />encouraged residents to take the time to read this publication. She noted PREC met on <br />Wednesday, April 3rd. She encouraged seniors in the community to contact NYFS if they <br />needed assistance with chores around the house. <br /> <br />Graeme Allen <br />Councilmember Allen reported the Public Safety Commission met on Monday, April 8th. He <br />commented on the items that were discussed by this group. He commented the Public Safety <br />Department for all of their efforts on behalf of the community. <br /> <br />Emily Dunsworth <br />Councilmember Dunsworth reported she attended a CTV Cable Commission meeting last <br />week. She explained CTV was seeking sponsors at this time. She stated the Planning <br />Commission would meet next on Tuesday, April 16th at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the EDC met on Wednesday, April 3rd. He indicated this <br />group was discussing the Dominium/Pulte project that would be located on the New Brighton <br />Elementary site. He stated this development has been branded the Mid-Town Village project. <br />He encouraged the public to view the plans and ideas for this project on the City’s website. He <br />then thanked the Public Works Department for all of their efforts this winter.
