Special Use Permit – 821 7th Ave NW <br />City Council Report; 5-28-2019 <br /> <br /> <br />Page 4 <br />Special Use Permit Review <br />In General:  The need for a Special Use Permit is triggered by the size of the garage. The applicant and staff analysis of these <br />standards is shown below: <br />1. That the establishment, maintenance, or operations of the special use will not be <br />detrimental to or endanger the public health, safety, morals, comfort or general <br />welfare. <br />APPLICANT COMMENTS: Structure is for family use only. 3-car garage for <br />parking and lawn care equipment. <br />STAFF COMMENTS: Staff finds this criterion to be met. The location of the new <br />garage will bring the structure into conformity with required setbacks, and staff <br />review did not identify any dangers to the public health, safety, morals, comfort, or <br />welfare. <br />2. That the special use will not be injurious to the use and enjoyment of other <br />property in the immediate vicinity for the purposes already permitted, nor <br />substantially diminish and impair property values within the neighborhood. <br />APPLICANT COMMENTS: This project will not have a negative impact on <br />neighbors and has the support of our friends and neighbors. <br />
