Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Fill the Boot Proclamation <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt a Proclamation <br />designating June 25, 2019 through June 27, 2019 as MDA Fill the Boot Days in the City of New <br />Brighton. <br /> <br />Firefighter Crocker introduced himself to the Council and discussed the upcoming Fill the Boot Campaign. <br />He thanked the community for their continued support and stated he looked forward to another great event in <br />2019. <br />Gina Towle, Muscular Dystrophy Association, discussed how the funds raised by the New Brighton Public <br />Safety Department were used to benefit the MDA. She discussed the milestones the MDA has seen over the <br />past 10 years and thanked the City for their continued support. <br />Mayor Johnson read a proclamation in full for the record designating June 25, 2019 through June 27, 2019 as <br />MDA Fill the Boot Days in the City of New Brighton. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked the community for their support and thanked staff for allowing the Fire <br />Division to be a part of this fundraising effort. <br />Councilmember Burg noted she would be out of town during the Fill the Boot campaign and offered Ms. <br />Towle a cash donation for the MDA. <br />Councilmember Dunsworth stated she was proud the City of New Brighton was a part of this fundraising <br />campaign. <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />1.
