She encouraged those interested in volunteering to <br />assist with this community event to contact City Hall for further information. She encouraged <br />New Brighton residents to visit the Farmer’s Market every Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. <br />at the Community Center. She stated on Wednesday, July 17th Cops and Bobbers would be <br />held at Long Lake Regional Park. She stated she attended the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Conference in Duluth and commended City staff for moving up another notch with the <br />GreenSteps Initiative. She reminded residents to get out on the golf course at the Brightwood <br />Hills Golf Course. She encouraged residents to participate in National Night Out on Tuesday, <br />August 6th. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg commented on a phone scam that her elderly mother went through. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson reported she was looking forward to participating in the Beautiful mural <br />project. She explained the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf was seeking cash donations at this time to <br />assist with feeding children this summer.
