Finance Director Davitt <br />stated the City has a $2.5 million internal loan in place from the Municipal Development Fund. <br />Councilmember Burg discussed the required cash balances the City had in place and <br />commented on the strong financial position New Brighton was in. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked Finance Director Davitt and the entire Finance Department <br />for their great efforts in managing the City’s finances. <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br /> <br />3. Consider a Resolution to Approve a Special Use Permit Authorizing Site Plan Changes for <br />Murlowski Properties Inc at 2200 Old Highway 8. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Allen to approve a Resolution <br />authorizing a Special Use Permit amendment for 200 Old Highway 8. <br /> <br />City Manager Lotter indicated Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola would be <br />presenting this item to the Council. <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola explained Murlowski Properties Inc <br />is seeking to amend their existing SUP for the property at 2200 Old Highway 8. No new <br />activities are proposed, but the applicants are seeking permission to extend their existing sound <br />mitigation berm/wall south to allow for relocation of previously approved rubble piles further <br />south behind the new wall. Further clarified, the existing approved 4acre storage site would be <br />relocated to a new 4-acre storage site, and no expansion of overall storage area is proposed. <br />Staff commented further on the request and noted the Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of the SUP with conditions. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen asked where the new drain pipe was located. Assistant Director of <br />Community Assets and Development Gozola commented he was uncertain of the location but noted a new <br />pipe would be installed to fix the broken-down storm sewer pipe as part of this approval. <br />Councilmember Allen questioned if the Rice Creek Watershed District had reviewed this site. Assistant <br />Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola reported the watershed district frequently monitors <br />this site. <br />Mayor Johnson inquired if the City had received any feedback from the City of Mounds View. Assistant <br />Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola explained staff had not received any feedback from <br />the City of Mounds View. He reiterated that the uses on this property would not be changing and no new <br />impacts would be created. <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br /> <br />4. Consider a Resolution to Approve a Final Planned Residential Development for the Pulte <br />Townhome portion of Midtown Village. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve a Resolution <br />approving the Final Planned Residential Development and Plat for Phase I of the Midtown Village <br />Development. <br /> <br />City Manager Lotter indicated Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola would be <br />presenting this item to the Council. <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola explained Pulte Homes is seeking <br />approval of a Final Planned Residential Development for Phase I of the Midtown Village <br />development.
