2020 Recycling Performance Work Plan. <br />The work plan below outlines the minimum requirements for your recycling program. Please review each <br />requirement carefully. <br />2020 Recycling Performance Work Plan - Minimum Requirements <br />1. Complete all 2020 SCORE requirements, including reporting on time and submitting a mid-year status <br />report. <br />2. Provide outreach to all residents about the municipality’s recycling program and submit copies of <br />materials to Ramsey County. <br />3. Use Ramsey County materials and information when and where appropriate to promote increased <br />recycling, reuse and repair (e.g., Fix-it Clinics), medicine collection, household hazardous waste, organic <br />waste and yard waste participation. <br />o a. Send materials to Ramsey County for review prior to distribution. <br />o b. Include county contact information on materials: <br /> i. 24/7 Recycling & Disposal Hotline: 651-633-EASY (3279) <br /> ii. RamseyRecycles.com <br />o c. Provide links to the Ramsey County web pages on municipality website. <br />4. Use hauler data to identify those not recycling and target educational materials <br />5. Ensure all multi-unit properties are meeting State law requirements to recycle and are receiving free <br />Ramsey County resources. Verify through county database property information. <br />6. Increase opportunities for recycling in public spaces. <br />o a. All recycling bins must be paired with a trash bin and in good condition. <br />o b. Labels must be readable. <br />o c. Promote Ramsey County’s event container lending program and green event planning tips. <br />7. Implement a “Green” purchasing procurement policy for city functions and facilities to use reusable, <br />recyclable or compostable packaging. <br />8. Ensure the collection of textiles is available to all residents through special collection or drop-off <br />opportunities. <br />9. Enforce recycling contracts, including the assessment of penalties for non-compliance. <br />o a. Audit reporting by obtaining hauler weight tickets. <br />o b. Have labels replaced if not readable. <br />10. Attend County Recycling Coordinator meetings and attend a yearly composition study. <br />
