<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Council Worksession <br />February 27, 2020 <br />5:00 pm <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Valerie Johnson <br /> Councilmember Graeme Allen <br /> Councilmember Mary Burg <br /> Councilmember Emily Dunsworth <br /> Councilmember Paul Jacobsen <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Staff in Attendance: Brenda Davitt <br /> <br />Guests in Attendance: Liza Donabauer, David Drone & Associates <br /> <br />Selection of City Manager Finalists <br /> <br />Davitt stated requested the Council review the City Manager finalists and reduce the list to four. <br /> <br />Liza Donabauer, David Drone & Associates, explained she was excited by the high quality candidates the City <br />Council had to consider for the City Manager position. She indicated the candidate information was private at <br />this time and encouraged the Council to use the number assigned to each candidate in order to protect their <br />identity. She reported once a motion was made on the top four finalists, this information would be made <br />public. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson stated the Council received a great deal of information on each candidate and thanked Ms. <br />Donabauer for organization this information. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked Ms. Donabauer for being thorough and providing the Council with great <br />information on each candidate. <br /> <br />Ms. Donabauer handed out ballots and requested the Council vote for their top four candidates. She reviewed <br />the ballots and votes. The top vote getting candidates were 4, 5 and 11. She requested the Council discuss <br />how to move forward. <br /> <br />The Council supported voting one more time for two additional candidates. <br /> <br />Ms. Donabauer reviewed the second round of ballots and explained the overall top vote getters were candidates <br />4, 5, 6, 10 and 11. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jacobsen supported the City Council moving forward with the top five candidates. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson requested the Council work together to get the list down to four candidates. She explained she <br />was a strong proponent for candidate 11. Councilmembers Jacobsen, Dunsworth and Allen were in agreement. <br /> <br />
