She stated <br />the Community Center has had a deep cleaning and maintenance matters were being addressed. <br />She encouraged the community to take a look at this presentation. She then welcomed <br />Councilmember Nasreen Fynewever to the City Council and stated she was looking forward to <br />working with her. <br />Nasreen Fynewever <br />Councilmember Fynewever thanked the Council for the kind welcome. She stated she has <br />appreciated the time the Directors have given her in the past two weeks to get her up to speed. <br />She explained she appreciated the deep care the Directors have for the City of New Brighton <br />and its residents. She thanked all of the residents that applied to be a Commissioner. She then <br />thanked all of the residents who were sharing resources and caring for their neighbors during <br />the COVID-19 crisis. <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson welcomed Nasreen Fynewever to the City Council. She stated she was looking <br />forward to serving the City of New Brighton with Councilmember Fynewever. She encouraged <br />residents to seek up to date information from the City on its social media pages. She discussed <br />the weekly updates she was providing the community and noted she was working to get out as <br />much information as possible. She noted the City’s website was another great resource for the <br />public. She commented further on how the City was working diligently to communicate with <br />the public. She explained the City would be putting out an online newsletter next week. She <br />thanked the public for paying attention to the information that was coming from the City. She <br />thanked the Community Resource Group for reaching out to the most vulnerable individuals in <br />the community, noting over 4,000 calls have been made to date. She discussed some of the <br />great work this group was doing for the community.
