<br />Traffic Impact Study 2 <br />New Brighton Exchange Update <br />2. Existing Conditions <br />a. Corridor Characteristics <br />Old Highway 8 is Ramsey County State Aid Highway 77 and is classified as an A Minor <br />Reliever. The corridor currently provides for four lanes of travel (two in each direction) <br />with a posted 40-mph speed limit south of Highway 96. The speed limit transitions to <br />30-mph south of Northwest Parkway. Old Highway 8 is an undivided road except for <br />between 14th Street and Northwest Parkway where a median is provided. <br />b. Study Intersection Characteristics <br />The study intersections of Old Highway 8/Highway 96 and Old Highway 8/10th Street <br />are under traffic signal control. The study intersections of Old Highway 8/14 th Street, <br />Old Highway 8/Central Park Boulevard and Old Highway 8/Northwest Parkway are <br />under side street stop control with Old Highway 8 operating as free f lowing.
