<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission <br />August 5, 2020 City Hall <br />Via Zoom - 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Axberg. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic <br />this meeting was held virtually. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Pam Axberg (Chair), Pauline Alfors, Gary Bank, Amelia <br />Kuiper, Matt Johnson, Abe McEathron, Julia O’Rourke, Mike Santi, and Charles Warner. <br /> <br />Members Absent: None. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Jennifer Fink, Assistant Director Jason Hicks and Candace Amberg, WSB. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by McEathron, seconded by Santi to approve the agenda as presented. A roll call vote <br />was taken. Motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Santi, seconded by Johnson to approve the June 3, 2020 minutes as presented. A <br />roll call vote was taken. Motion carried 9-0. <br /> <br />V. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Final Presentation and Review of the Parks Comprehensive Plan – Jennifer Fink, Director <br />of Parks and Recreation and Candace Amberg, WSB, Inc. <br /> <br />Director Fink explained the Commission would be receiving a final presentation on the Parks <br />Comprehensive Plan from WSB. She reported this document has been in the works since <br />December of 2018. The original Parks Plan has not been updated since 2006 and staff <br />believed this should be done every five to ten years. She stated she was very proud of the <br />final plan. She thanked WSB for their assistance with this plan. It was noted this would be <br />an ambitious guiding plan for the City for the next 20 years. <br />
