He reported the Public Safety Commission met on <br />Monday, January 11 th and discussed the pathways to policing for licensed peace officers in the <br />State of Minnesota. He commented further on the calls for service from Allina in 2020. <br />Emily Dunsworth <br />Councilmember Dunsworth reported she attended a virtual PREC meeting last Wednesday and <br />the group discussed the Mission Possible Distance Learning Program. She welcomed the new <br />Mayor and Councilmembers to the City Council and stated she looked forward to serving the <br />City of New Brighton going forward. <br />Pam Axber <br />Councilmember Axberg explained she was looking forward to serving the City of New <br />Brighton on the City Council. <br />Abdullahi Abdulle <br />Councilmember Abdulle thanked Sergeant Nelson for his 30 years of service and commitment <br />to the City of New Brighton. He stated he feels very safe in this community and stated this was <br />a testament to the great work of the New Brighton Public Safety Department. He thanked <br />Councilmember Dunsworth and Councilmember Allen for their patience as he learns the ropes. <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas thanked former Councilmember Paul Hart for his comments. She <br />stated she also appreciated the dedicated service of Sergeant Terry Nelson and wished him all <br />the best in his retirement.
