Recognition of City Ambassador Terry Nelson on his Retirement. <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas read a proclamation in full for the record recognizing Sergeant Terry <br />Nelson for his 30 years of dedicated service to the New Brighton Public S afety Department and stated <br />he would serve as an ambassador to the City ofNew Brighton upon his retirement. <br />Public Safety Director Paetznick stated this was a bittersweet moment for him. He explained Sergeant Nelson <br />would be dearly missed and appreciated the fact the City has bestowed an ambassadorship on Sergeant <br />Nelson. He then presented Sergeant Nelson with a shadowbox of mementos from his 30+ year career. <br />Sergeant Nelson thanked the Council for the kind words and shadowbox.
