ZONING UPDATE GOALS <br />To ensure this zoning code update is a success and to avoid future arguments <br />on the scope of work being undertaken, it is essential to identify all of the <br />project goals and tasks from the outset. Finalization of this list within the <br />annotated outline will guide staff throughout the update project, and establishes <br />the specific issues to be addressed within the final product. <br />FORMATTING & ORGANIZATION GOALS <br />Goal <br />1. Use clear spacing and indentation to identify sections <br />and subsections <br />2. Code needs to be more intuitive as to where information <br />can be found <br />3. Simplify current language as necessary to add clarity <br />4. Break up long paragraphs of regulations into easy to <br />read bullet points <br />5. Update the table of contents to match new organization <br />MAKING CODE USER-FRIENDLY <br />Goal <br />6. Use pictures and illustrations throughout as needed to • Staff will insert pictures and illustrations throughout <br />clarify terms (i.e. height measurement, yard locations, the new code as needed to ensure clarity of <br />etc) regulations <br />7.
