Parks & Recreation Updates will be emailed around the 10th of each month. <br /> Landmark tours presented a travel program on October 15 at the NBCC. Trips include <br />flight, knowledgeable tour guide, motor coach and 3 star accommodations for US and <br />overseas travel. <br /> The golf league season concluded in early October with the longstanding Friday Senior <br />League Scramble and Banquet, all held at Brightwood Hills. This was the last of our 14 <br />leagues to finish the season. <br /> SUPPORTING COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT <br /> The City invested $130,000 into the NBCC this fall. These projects, listed below, both <br />improved and enhance the facility. <br />o Installation of new Fitness Studio floor <br />o Painting the Fitness Studio walls and window frames <br />o Installation of a Personal Training desk on the Fitness Center floor <br />o Remodeling of entrances into office spaces and reassigning staff office locations <br />o Refinishing the gym floor <br />o Installation of new ceiling tiles in the Community Room <br />o Cabinet installation in the senior room <br />o Staining of wood work in the Community Room <br />o Installation of interior building signage with new City logo <br />o Removal of the toddler ball pit <br />o Purchase and replacement of two treadmills <br />o Carpet cleaning <br /> Brightwood Hills again partnered with CPY this fall and utilized our George Waters Grant <br />to provide golf lessons for 23 different youth, many of which had never held a club or <br />been on a golf course. This marks the third year that the program has been in place. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
