She thanked the Commission for their time <br />and noted she was available for comments or questions. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Fink stated this document was a labor of love for her staff. She <br />thanked all of the committee members and residents who assisted with drafting this plan. <br />Chair Nichols-Matkaiti asked if this document would carry the same weight as the Comprehensive <br />Plan. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola reported this would be the <br />case and noted this document would be a supplement to the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Chair Nichols-Matkaiti thanked Commissioner Frischman and Commissioner McQuillan for serving on <br />the parks plan subcommittee. She asked if either of these members had further comments. <br />Commissioner Allen stated she appreciated the City’s parks and she was excited to see this plan <br />being approved. <br />Commissioner Biedenfeld thanked all of the residents and staff members who worked on this <br />project. <br />Commissioner Enanaa thanked all who worked to complete this plan. <br />Commissioner Frischman stated this was a labor of love and she appreciated all of the efforts of staff <br />and committee members who assisted with the development of this document. <br />Commissioner McQuillan thanked Director Fink and Ms. Amberg for all of their efforts and for <br />allowing him to serve on the subcommittee. He indicated he appreciated all of the feedback the City <br />received from the public. He explained he was really pleased with the final product. <br />Chair Nichols-Matkaiti stated she appreciated all of the feedback the City received as well. <br />Chair Nichols-Matkaiti opened the Public Hearing at 7:17 p.m. <br />Motion by Commissioner McQuillan, seconded by Commissioner Biedenfeld to close the Public <br />Hearing. <br />A roll call vote was taken. Approved 6-0. <br />Commissioner McQuillan requested the acknowledgements be amended to show he and Jeanne <br />Frischman were Planning Commission members. <br />Motion by Commissioner Frischman, seconded by Commissioner McQuillan, to recommend the <br />City Council adopt the Comprehensive Parks Master Plan for inclusion in the 2040 Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br />A roll call vote was taken. Approved 6-0. <br />
