Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING A SITE PLAN REVIEW <br />FOR LAURIS VALTINSON AND VALTINSON FINANCIAL AUTHORIZING <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW GARAGE AT 388 CLEVELAND AVENUE <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton is a municipal corporation, organized and existing under the <br />laws of the State of Minnesota; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of the New Brighton has adopted a comprehensive plan <br />and corresponding zoning regulations to promote orderly development and utilization of land within <br />the city; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lauris Valtinson (the “Applicant”) is owner of property at 388Cleveland Avenue SW <br />which has the property identification number of xx-xx-xx-xx-xxxx and is legally described as: <br /><insert legal here> <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant’s property is guided by the Comprehensive Plan for Commercial use, <br />and is zoned B-1 on the City’s official zoning map; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant is seeking to build a new garage on the property to support the existing <br />business, and to provide indoor recreational opportunities for their workers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant cannot secure a building permit for the proposed improvements until a <br />site plan has been reviewed and approved by the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant made application to the City for site plan review on 9/8/20, and supplied <br />all necessary plans to support staff’s review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff fully reviewed the request and prepared a report for consideration by the Planning <br />Commission at their meeting on September 15, 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the request on September 15, <br />2020, based on the applicant’s submittals and findings of fact; and <br />
