December 10, 2019 Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />December 10, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Johnson, Councilmembers Allen, Burg, Dunsworth, and Jacobsen <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: Devin Massopust-Acting City Manager, Sarah Sonsalla-City Attorney, Brenda Davitt- <br />Finance Director, Craig Schlichting-Community Assets and Development Director, <br />Jennifer Fink-Parks and Recreation Director <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Mayor Johnson led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Public Comment Forum <br />Mayor Johnson opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. <br /> <br />Kiersten Sersland, 780 First Avenue NW, stated she had concerns with the parking situation <br />along First Avenue in front of the Fountain Terrace apartments. She indicated the parking <br />situation becomes exceedingly more dangerous during the winter months when the road <br />becomes more narrow and cars are parked further into the street. She requested a “No Parking <br />Zone” be placed on First Avenue all along the apartment property. She explained her mini-van <br />was recently totaled because a driver couldn’t see around a corner.
