Q U O T E
JSKRQ2288-01
Created: 11/20/19
Expires: 01/07/20
T. 651-227-8461 F. 651-310-12961 Water St West, Suite 110, St Paul, Minnesota 55107
Prepared For:Prepared By:
City of New Brighton
803 Old Higway 8 NW
New Brighton MN 55112
John Jantzer
Account Representative
651-310-1257
jjantzer@electrowatchman.com
Nick Kriz
(612) 618-2375
Nick.Kriz@newbrightonmn.gov
Project Scope:
Electro Watchman to provide and install Avigilon ACM access control upgrades to existing city buildings with
existing access control equipment.
*Estimate assumes existing electric door hardware is viable and in proper working order unless otherwise
mentioned. Reconnect existing field door hardware. Owner responsible for faults in existing system design
discovered during installation.
*All access control equipment requires a wired data network connected to main system control server located at
Public Safety building for operation. Owner responsible for providing data network infrastructure and connection
for each field controller.
*Some locations have a proprietary cabling/controller design which will need to be converted to industry standard
configuration prior to reconnection to new system. See individual building descriptions for specific locations of
concern.
*New building access controller equipment will be installed at each location based on current controller locations
and overall design. New controllers include electric door lock power outputs for each door location.
Main Server Requirements:
*Initial system installation at Public Safety building included a 32 reader license. To allow system expansion to the
total doors estimated, a license update must be purchased and installed to allow a total of 80 reader locations.
City Hall Options:
*Upgrade/Replace 1 existing controller with 14 door connections in upper level data closet. Several doors appear
to have been installed with non-industry standard cabling and must be rerouted.
*Three existing request to exit (REX) motion detectors are black and will be replaced with white.
*Reconnect all door locations.
*Recable lower level tenant card reader key switch bypass as an input in the access control system rather than
preventing reader from operating when activated.
*Reconnect Council Chamber maglock emergency release buttons.
Maintenance Facility Options:
*Upgrade/Replace 1 existing controller with 8 door connections located in storage room. Install a controller with
expansion capability beyond 8 door locations. All doors appear to have been installed with non-industry standard
cabling and must be recabled.
*Recable to all door locations. An extension lift will require access through the garage bay spaces to recable to
existing door locations.
*Reconnect all field door hardware.
*Main gate for property currently has 2 card readers connected as single port on the access control system.
Existing cabling connection to the building could not be found in walk-through. Option has been provided to
recable new underground pathway from gate/card reader pedestal to building for connection to new system. Gate
recabling cannot be completed by subcontractor until ground has thawed in 2020 or will require additional expense.
