RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPOINT CORPORATE FOUR INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. AS THE CITY’S INSURANCE AGENT AND <br />APPROVING THE SERVICE FEE AGREEMENT WITH CORPORATE FOUR INSURANCE AGENCY, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) requires cities to use <br />the services of an agent in order to participate in the LMCIT property/casualty program; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the written materials from LMCIT <br />discussing the agent’s role and compensation in LMCIT; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ron Youngdahl of Corporate Four Insurance Agency, Inc. (“Corporate Four”) is <br />willing to provide to the City the services listed below under the terms and conditions <br />listed below. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Appointment <br />1. The City of New Brighton hereby appoints Corporate Four as its agent for purposes of <br />the City’s participation in the LMCIT property/casualty program and workers’ <br />compensation program. <br /> <br />Term <br />2. This appointment shall commence on July 1, 2020 and remain effective until <br />December 31, 2023. <br /> <br />Compensation <br />3. As compensation for the services provided to the City as described in Paragraph 4 <br />below, the City will pay Corporate Four a fee of $9,500 annually (with the exception <br />of the year 2020 which shall be prorated). This fee includes services performed by <br />Corporate Four for both the property/casualty program and the workers’ <br />compensation program. The City hereby directs LMCIT not to include any allowance <br />for an agent’s fee in quoting and billing the City’s premiums for property, liability, and <br />automotive coverage and to refund the two percent workers’ compensation coverage <br />agent fee allowance to the City. <br /> <br />Services <br />4. Corporate Four will perform the following services for the City as they relate to the <br />property/casualty and workers’ compensation programs:
