cÜÉvÄtÅtà|ÉÇ CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS Tom Bauer joined the City of New Brighton on March 20, 1978 and has been a face of <br />Public Works for more than 42 years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS During the course of his 42 plus years of service, Tom has served as a Maintenance <br />Worker and Maintenance Crew Chief; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Tom has served under the direction of Six Mayors, Eight City Managers, 2 Public <br />Works Directors, 1 Community Assets and Development Director; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS During the course of his 42 years of service, Tom has been a part of the response of <br />numerous extreme weather events, sewer backups, watermain breaks, annual street <br />reconstruction, and swept countless miles of streets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Tom’s concern for the Citizens of New Brighton will leave a lasting impression; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Tom has remained a steady fixture in Public Works during innumerable snow events, <br />paving projects, and remaining a leader amongst the crew. <br /> <br />WHEREAS In retirement Tom will be enjoying his new cabin with his wonderful wife Sharon of <br />43 years, his children, and granddaughter. <br /> <br />WHEREAS Tom’s last day with the City of New Brighton will be on August 3, 2020, and will <br />leave the City to begin a new passage of his life called retirement; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE I, VALERIE JOHNSON, Mayor of The City of New Brighton, Minnesota do <br />recognize 42 years of service to the citizens of New Brighton and all City staff, we offer our sincerest <br />congratulations and extend our heartfelt thanks, and our fondest wishes for a happy, healthy, and <br />extremely long retirement and hereby proclaim: <br /> <br />Tom (Buck) Bauer <br /> <br />A City Ambassador in the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my <br />hand and caused the Seal of the City of New Brighton, <br />Minnesota to be affixed this 28th day of July, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> VALERIE JOHNSON – MAYOR
