10 <br />On March 14, Officer Kostohryz stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A smell of <br />alcohol was coming from driver and driver admitted to alcohol use. The driver consented <br />to field sobriety tests which showed multiple clues of impairment. The driver was <br />arrested for DWI and they agreed to take a breath test which revealed a BAC of .11. The <br />driver was cited for 4th degree DWI and booked at LEC. <br /> <br />On March 19, Officer Kostohryz stopped a vehicle for speed and failure to maintain lane. <br />The driver displayed signs of impairment and admitted to alcohol use. The driver failed <br />field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. The driver agreed to take a <br />breath test which revealed a .10 BAC. The driver was cited for 4th degree DWI and <br />failure to maintain single lane. He was booked at the Ramsey County LEC for 4th <br />Degree DWI. <br /> <br />On March 21 around 3:40 pm, Officer Wodnick observed an occupied vehicle parked on <br />Pike Lake Circle near the United Church of Christ. Routine checks of the license plate <br />showed that the registered owner had an active felony warrant. She initiated a traffic stop <br />and found the driver to be intoxicated, confirming that he was the registered owner with <br />the warrant for domestic assault strangulation. The driver failed field sobriety tests and <br />his breath alcohol concentration measured .15. He was booked at the Ramsey County <br />Jail for the warrant and 3rd Degree DWI due to a prior conviction. <br /> <br />On March 22, Officers Kostohryz and Semanko each made arrests for 3rd Degree DWI <br />following traffic stops for speed, traveling 52mph in a posted 40 zone on Silver Lake <br />Road during their night shift. Around 11 pm, a driver appeared intoxicated but refused to <br />provide an evidentiary sample and was charged with test refusal. Shortly before 2 am, <br />the other driver also displayed signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking three beers. <br />He failed field sobriety tests and had a breath alcohol concentration of .16, twice the legal <br />limit. Both drivers were booked at the Ramsey County Jail. <br /> <br />On March 23, Officer Kostohryz stopped a motorcyclist for speeding around 6:30 pm. <br />The motorcyclist smelled of alcohol and admitted to consuming two beers. He failed <br />field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. His breath alcohol concentration was .17 <br />and he had an alcohol abstinence restriction on his license. He was booked at Ramsey <br />County Jail for 2nd Degree DWI. <br /> <br />On March 28, Officer Kostohryz investigated a suspicious vehicle running in parking lot <br />of a closed business. The driver displayed signs of impairment, and consented to field <br />sobriety tests. The tests revealed multiple clues of impairment and the driver was <br />arrested for DWI. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed narcotic paraphernalia. A <br />search warrant was written and a blood sample obtained. The driver was booked at <br />Ramsey County LEC for 3rd Degree DWI. <br /> <br /> <br />IV.
