2 <br />I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related <br />incidents during the month. <br /> <br />Officers responded to the Fountain Terrace Apartments on Thursday, May 2 around 8:30 <br />am on a male trying door handles on the first floor who appeared to be intoxicated. <br />Officers located the male and found him to be in possession of suspected <br />methamphetamine. He was arrested and booked at the Ramsey County Jail. <br /> <br />On Thursday, May 2 around noon, officers assisted Ramsey County SWAT and <br />Minneapolis Police with the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block <br />of 7th Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Around 11:30 am on Friday, May 3, officers responded to the 600 block of Riviera Drive <br />on an 83-year old resident who had passed out and fell to the ground. Upon arrival of <br />officers, he was conscious and breathing. Once he was placed inside the ambulance, <br />however, he suffered a cardiac arrest but paramedics were able to revive him and he <br />again regained consciousness. An officer rode with the EMS in the ambulance during the <br />transport to the hospital. <br /> <br />On Sunday, May 5, a resident reported that he was the victim of an online scam from <br />“Microsoft Support,” with a total loss of $11,000 in gift cards and a $600 charge on the <br />victim’s credit card. <br /> <br />A female victim reported that while vacuuming her vehicle in the parking lot of the Shell <br />gas station at 950 West County Road D around 3:45 pm on Thursday, May 9, a male <br />suspect approached and entered the driver’s seat and drove away with her car. The stolen <br />vehicle was later recovered by Minneapolis Police and the suspect in possession of the <br />vehicle at the time was charged with auto theft. <br /> <br />New Brighton and Mounds View experienced restaurant burglaries around 5 am on <br />Friday, May 10, beginning with the Silver Lake Road Dairy Queen (officers were <br />notified by a burglar alarm), China Tiger (evidence of burglary found by a New Brighton <br />officer) and also in Mounds View at Arepa Bites (also a burglar alarm activation). <br />Nothing was taken from DQ; China Tiger had the registers emptied of cash. Officers are <br />awaiting possible video evidence for the investigation. <br /> <br />Staff of Cowboy Jack’s denied service to an obviously intoxicated person who arrived at <br />the establishment around 11 pm on Saturday, May 11, and instead called him an Uber to <br />bring him home. The male became unruly, and started punching the windows of and <br />spitting in the Uber vehicle. Officers found the suspect passed out in the back seat and <br />when awoken, he was unable to answer questions about himself. His preliminary breath <br />alcohol concentration measured .33 and he was transported to Unity Hospital by Allina <br />Paramedics. <br /> <br />On May 13, New Brighton officers assisted Mounds View Police with conducting a high- <br />risk stop of a vehicle wanted in connection with an armed robbery. The vehicle was <br />stopped and two suspects were taken into custody without incident.
