3 <br />Employees of Corexpo kept a fire from spreading into their building by using several fire <br />extinguishers and buckets of water to douse flames from a commercial trash container <br />adjacent to the loading dock in the 2100 block of Old Highway 8 NW around 2:30 pm on <br />Tuesday, May 14. Firefighters were able to fully extinguish the blaze and ventilate <br />smoke from the structure. <br /> <br />For three consecutive mornings around 7 am, an unknown person activated the pull <br />station fire alarm at the Sage Park Apartments in the 900 block of West County Road D. <br />Public Safety and building management worked cooperatively to address the repeated <br />problem. <br /> <br />Firefighters responded to Mission Foods around 6 pm on Wednesday, May 15, to clean- <br />up a fuel leak from a ruptured tank on a semi-tractor in the parking lot. Approximately <br />20 gallons of diesel had spilled on the ground. <br /> <br />The Minnesota State Patrol engaged in a pursuit of a motorcycle on I-35W near Hinckley <br />on Thursday, May 16, around 1 am. The motorcyclist crashed and suffered minor <br />injuries. The motorcycle had been reported stolen from a residence in New Brighton on <br />September 26 of last year. <br /> <br />On Wednesday, May 15 around 8 pm, officers responded to a residence in the 500 block <br />of 9th Avenue NW on report of a male who was high on drugs and hurting himself. <br />Upon arrival, they found the male on the ground with multiple self-inflicted scratches to <br />his body. They administered Narcan along with rescue breathing. The victim was <br />transported to the University of Minnesota Hospital. <br /> <br />Around 5 am on Thursday, May 16, officers responded to Fountain Terrace Apartments <br />on report of a victim overdosing on heroin on the back steps. They found a 33-year old <br />female unconscious and not breathing, and administered Narcan along with rescue <br />breathing. The victim regained consciousness and was transported to North Memorial <br />Hospital. Detectives and VCET Investigator are following-up on the incident. <br /> <br />Officers responding to a noise complaint at a residence in the 1000 block of Cessna Drive <br />around 11 pm on Thursday, May 16, and arrested a 26-year old male who had an <br />outstanding felony warrant for 2nd degree burglary. <br /> <br />On May 16, New Brighton officers assisted the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s <br />Office in notifying a mother that her 30-year old daughter had passed away. <br /> <br />The clerk of Circle K, 201 5th Street NW, reported that a male had stolen three packs of <br />Newport cigarettes valued at $29 and fled in a vehicle, providing a license plate, around <br />3:15 am on Saturday, May 18. Mounds View Police located the vehicle and suspect at <br />the Days Inn in their city. The 28-year old suspect was cited for theft and driving after <br />suspension. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
