<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Public Safety Commission <br />September 9, 2019 City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Hollimon. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Robert Boyd, William Cook, Amina Ghouse (departed at 7:40 <br />p.m.), Geoff Hollimon, Tanya Kessler, Stephanie Kitzhaber, Stephanie Malone, and Karen <br />Wagner. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Ache Wakai. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Tony Paetznick, Director Craig Schlichting, Council Member Emily <br />Dunsworth and Dave Matteson (Allina Health). <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Kessler, seconded by Wagner to approve the September 9, 2019 agenda as presented. <br />Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Kessler, seconded by Malone to approve the August 12, 2019 minutes as presented. <br />Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />V. Presentations and Public Hearings <br /> <br />A. Traffic Control Sign Petition – Craig Schlichting, Director of Community Assets and <br />Development and Tony Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br /> <br />Director Paetznick stated Public Safety received a petition on August 22nd that requests the <br />installation of stop signs by the City of New Brighton at several intersections in the <br />residential neighborhood that is located east of the northern half of Hansen Park. The resident <br />who submitted the document has indicated that he will be in attendance at our regularly <br />scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, September 9th at 6:30pm. <br /> <br />Director Paetznick explained the Department of Community Assets and Development <br />(DCAD) was also made aware of the receipt of this petition and has assembled some <br />historical information, including a street sign inventory map and historical stop sign requests
