16 <br /> <br />Demolition of the old elementary school continues and the entire building is now down. <br />They will then start work to demolish the buildings at 629 Old Hwy 8 NW. <br /> <br /> <br />NBDPS Community Chaplain Father Paul Shovelain finished first in his age group at the <br />14th annual Officer Shawn Silvera 5K Run on Saturday morning, August 17. More <br />importantly, he helped lead the NBDPS Running Team to victory in the Public Safety <br />Challenge competition, beating the second-place Blaine PD team by a mere 13 seconds. <br />Since the Public Safety Challenge competition began in 2008, New Brighton Public <br />Safety has now won the traveling trophy six times! <br /> <br /> <br />
