Proclamation recognizing Mayor Valerie Johnson for her service. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Allen, seconded by Councilmember Dunsworth to accept the <br />Proclamation recognizing Mayor Valerie Johnson for her service to the City of New <br />Brighton on the City Council. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Abstain (Mayor Johnson) - Motion Carried <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Jacobsen read a proclamation in full for the record recognizing Mayor Valerie Johnson for <br />her service to the City of New Brighton. He thanked Mayor Johnson for her tremendous leadership and the <br />positive impact she has had on the City. <br />Councilmember Dunsworth stated it had been an honor to serve with Mayor Johnson. She believed there <br />was no person who loved New Brighton more than Mayor Johnson and the City was better because of <br />Mayor Johnson. She thanked Mayor Johnson for her dedication to the community. <br />Councilmember Allen agreed there was no one who loved New Brighton more than Mayor Johnson. He <br />appreciated the level of commitment Mayor Johnson has provided during her years as Mayor of New <br />Brighton. He believed the high quality of work that had been completed in New Brighton over the past five <br />years was because of Mayor Johnson. <br />Councilmember Fynewever explained she has learned how to be a developing leader from Mayor Johnson. <br />She stated she has learned the meaning of contriteness, temperament, timing, courage and conviction mean <br />because of the Mayor. She appreciated how Mayor Johnson has developed as a leader over the years and <br />thanked Mayor Johnson for appointing her to the City Council. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked the Councilmembers for their kind words. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />1.
