HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />This section will review ongoing activities for homeland security and emergency <br />management. This includes the activities of the New Brighton Community Emergency <br />Response Teams (CERT). <br />No items of note. <br />IX. TRAINING <br />This section will review the training activities of our Public Safety personnel for the <br />month. <br />Capt. Mike Schute, IT Administrator/Firefighter Andre Barte and Officer/Fire Captain <br />Brad Krebsbach attended "Leadership in Police Organizations". <br />Firefighter Jeremy Berger attended the Crime Prevention Practitioner Course. <br />Officer/Firefighter Nerison attended training for Law Enforcement Prevention and <br />Deterrence of Terrorist Attacks. <br />Officer Farmer and Officer Wakasugi attended the BCA Basic Narcotics Investigation <br />Course. <br />Officer Nerison attended training for WMD Radiological/Nuclear Operations. <br />Officer Griffin and Officer Boyd attended training for Advanced School Resource <br />Officer. <br />Fire Marshal Kip LaMotte attended the MNIAAI 2015 Fire Investigation Conference. <br />Officer Hyland conducted firearms training for the police division which included use of <br />the UMP sub machine gun using multiple targets and decision shooting. <br />13 <br />
