Seth Nathaniel Gerrard, 33 years of age from Stacy was formally charged with Violation <br />of the Controlled Substance Law in the Fifth Degree — Possession of Hashish. This <br />felony is punishable by a maximum of 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. Officer <br />Farmer arrested Mr. Gerrard on July 20th, 2014. Det. Lochen concluded the <br />investigation. CN 14009023. <br />On March 30th suspect Dante Lamar Karaman Lewis, 30 years of age with no known <br />address was formally charged with Felony Domestic Assault (maximum penalty of 5 <br />years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine) and Domestic Assault by Strangulation (maximum <br />penalty of 3 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine). The assault occurred on January 29th, <br />2015 but the suspect has not been located and arrested. An arrest warrant was issued <br />with a $70,000 bail. Det. DeBoer concluded the investigation. CN 15001340. <br />V. COMMUNITY POLICING AND CRIME AND FIRE PREVENTION <br />ACTIVITIES <br />This section contains information on our community policing, fire and crime <br />prevention activities. <br />Fire Marshal Kip LaMotte conducted a station tour of the Public Safety on March 23rd for <br />a small group of children. <br />On March 11th Officer Olson gave two St. John's Elementary School students a "ride to <br />school" in his squad car. <br />VI. BIAS CRIME REPORTS <br />This section will contain any information regarding bias and/or hate crimes in the City <br />of New Brighton. <br />There were no bias crime reports this month. <br />VII. VOLUNTEER SERVICES <br />This section contains information on our various volunteer organizations related to <br />Public Safety. This includes the activities of the Public Safety Commission, Police <br />Reserves, Police Explorers, and Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS). <br />Activity for the month includes the following: <br />Congratulations to Police Reserve Brenda Stovall for being recognized as the Reserve <br />Officer of the Year, and also to Mike Tester for winning the annual "Golden Handcuffs" <br />award for volunteering the most hours in the unit last year. The winners were announced <br />at the annual Police Reserves Banquet. <br />12 <br />
