I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br />The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related <br />incidents during the month. <br />On Saturday, August 1St at about 10:35 pm Officer Amberg, Officer Craig and Officer <br />Wakasugi were in the area on a report of a loud party. After clearing the call, the <br />Officers located a suspicious vehicle, a 2000 Plymouth Voyager, parked near the 1000 <br />block of Peck's Woods Drive. The vehicle is occupied by a male identified as Eric <br />Knoblauch, 25 years of age from New Brighton. Mr. Knoblauch admits to smoking a <br />controlled substance (hash oil wax). Three ounces of a controlled substance is located <br />and he is arrested and booked on Possession of a Controlled Substance. CN 15010735. <br />On August 8th at 7:57 a.m. Officers responded to St. John the Baptist Church on a full <br />cardiac arrest. Officers delivered one shock with an AED to the 83 year old male from <br />Fridley. Allina Medics arrived and CPR was continued. A pulse was regained on the <br />83 year old male who was transported to the hospital. The victim died three days later. <br />CN 15010942. <br />On August 6th at 3:22 pm Police and Fire Divisions were dispatched to 1187 Mississippi <br />Drive on a report of a possible drowning. Upon arrival it was determined that an 11 year <br />old female jumped off of the pedestrian bridge on Mississippi Street and was unable to <br />swim. Attempts by residents to rescue her failed. Public Safety staff arrived and were <br />able to rescue/locate the victim in about 6 to 8 feet of water. She was taken to Unity <br />Hospital in critical condition. The victim, identified as Banfegha Eyongochu, 11 years of <br />age from New Brighton, was later transferred to Minneapolis Children's Hospital where <br />she died.
