Officer Layton represented New Brighton DPS at the 1" annual Sociology and Criminal <br />Justice Major Career Expo at the University of St. Thomas on October 8th. Officer <br />Layton along with Officer Matt Farmer and Deputy Director Paetznick are graduates <br />from the UST Criminal Justice program. Deputy Director Paetznick also received a <br />graduate degree from UST. Officer Layton and Officer Farmer are also both attending <br />graduate school at UST. <br />Officer Layton with Dr. Sue Smith-Cunnien and Dr. Peter Parilla, professors at UST <br />Fire Marshal LaMotte, PSO/Firefighter Prasek and Firefighter Barte conducted a tour of <br />the Public Safety Center along with some fire safety education for several children from a <br />Kindergarten class at St. John's.
