On Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16, members from the police and fire <br />divisions visited the Pike Lake Education Center to provide kindergartners with public <br />education regarding personal and fire safety. Over the two days, approximately 500 <br />students had the opportunity to learn safety messages and view a police car and fire truck. <br />On Monday, October 28, the Fire Division hosted the annual Fire Department Open <br />House. An estimated 225+ people attended the open house and viewed a National Fire <br />Sprinkler Association demonstration. The demonstration involved a side by side burn <br />trailer, one side with fire sprinklers and one without. Cookies, cider and fire hats were <br />distributed to kids.
