Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Kunesh-Podein. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members Present: Commissioners Brunell, Fields, Frischman, Justin, Kunesh- <br />Podein, McEathron, Parker, Stenglein <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Eischen <br />Also Present: Emily and Gary Koehler, 1816 Birch St., White Bear, Alice & Rod <br />and Koehler, Traverse City, MI, Sandy Breuer, Director of Parks and Recreation; <br />Chris Wolla, Parks Superintendent and Council Liaison Burg. <br /> <br /> III. Minutes of October 14, 2015 <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MCEATHRON, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER STENGLEIN, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF OCTOBER <br />14, 2015 AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> <br />IV. Correspondence <br />None. <br /> <br />V. Old Business <br /> a. Hansen Park Update/Targeted Watershed Demonstration Program - <br />Kyle Axtell, Water Resource Specialist/Project Manager - Rice Creek <br />Watershed District <br />Kyle Axtell gave the presentation which covered the following: <br /> Historical Summary <br /> Upcoming Schedule <br /> Construction Plans <br /> Hansen Park Comprehensive Water Management Project, New Brighton <br />PREC Alternatives Discussion <br /> Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Axtell mentioned this will be presented to the City Council on November <br />24th. There will be an open house next week as well. <br /> <br />PREC members discussed with staff, the possibility of adding 8 more parking <br />spots to the east parking area. Parks Superintendent Wolla thought that by <br />putting the ballfields back to back on the east side, we may be able to get 8 <br />more parking spaces in there. <br /> <br />Mr. Axtell stated if you want to add the possibility of 8 more parking spaces to <br />your recommendation, we will certainly look at it. If we are out there working, <br />that is the time to do it. <br /> <br />PREC members mentioned they hoped for a small waterfall somewhere. <br />Perhaps up by Frisbee golf hole #1. There is a good elevation over rocks. <br />APPROVED
