Those interested should contact City Hall or visit the City's <br /> website for further information. He stated he appreciated the report the Inclusive Community <br /> Task Force provided to the City Council at their worksession meeting this evening. He <br /> thanked the Kitchen Kut Ups and Dairy Queen for their generous donations to the City. He <br /> thanked all of the residents that were in attendance tonight for being engaged in the <br /> community. He stated the City Council was listening and was taking into consideration the <br /> ideas, comments and concerns that have been voiced. He then discussed the numerous ways <br /> the City was exploring to better reach the community. He reported the City has heard there <br /> was a need to grow and diversify its housing stock and this concern had led the Council to <br /> consider a housing development on the old New Brighton Elementary School site. <br /> Emily Dunsworth <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth reported she attended the Public Safety Commission meeting on <br /> Monday, January 14th noting the group received a presentation on the City's hazardous <br /> materials response team. She explained there was no parking on City streets after three (3) <br /> inches of snowfall until the snow has been plowed to the curb. <br /> Paul Jacobsen <br /> 1 Councilmember Jacobsen reported PREC would meet next on Wednesday, February 61h at 6:30 <br /> 1 p.m. He stated the Health Expo was held on Saturday, January 12th and was very well attended. <br /> I He commented further on the contributions Char Samuelson made to the community and noted <br /> she left good marks on the City. He sent his condolences to the entire Samuelson family. He <br /> thanked all of the residents that had reached out to him with their comments or concerns <br /> regarding the old New Brighton Elementary School redevelopment. <br /> Mary Burg <br /> Councilmember Burg reported Char Samuelson was a colleague and neighbor of hers. She <br /> described the numerous ways Char Samuelson had impacted the community in a positive <br /> manner. She discussed how the Council was working to hear all of the voices and concerns of <br /> the New Brighton residents. She thanked City Manager Lotter for putting together the <br /> community engagement timeline that was presented this evening. She explained the Planning <br /> Commission would meet next on Tuesday, February 19th <br /> Mayor Johnson <br /> Mayor Johnson reported she met with the North Metro Mayors Association last week and <br /> explained this group discussed legislative goals for the region. She reported the school district <br /> had been made aware of the City's interest in redeveloping the old New Brighton School site <br /> and indicated the school district was able to support this growth in the community. She <br /> encouraged those present to participate in the Parks Strategic Planning process by visiting the <br /> City's website and participating in the pinpoint survey.
