Recognition of Pat Tuma for her induction into the Minnesota USSSA Hall of Fame. t. Re avition of Pat <br /> Tuma for her induction into <br /> Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to recognize Pat thHalleMinnesotaUssSAofFame. <br /> Tuma for her induction into the Minnesota USSSA Hall of Fame. <br /> Parks and Recreation Director Fink recognized Pat Tuma for her induction into the Minnesota USSSA Hall <br /> of Fame. She reported Pat has been a softball league coordinator for the City of New Brighton past 30 years. <br /> She explained this was a lifetime achievement award. <br /> ' Mayor Johnson commended Pat Tuma on this tremendous accomplishment. <br /> Councilmember Burg congratulated Pat Tuma and stated she was being recognized for her incredible <br /> dedication to the community. She provided further comment on the great times she had playing softball with <br /> Pat over the years. <br /> Pat Tuma thanked the Council for their kind words. She provided further comment on the great teams that <br /> participated in softball in the community and how she appreciated the investment the Council has made in its <br /> fields and sports programs. <br /> 5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried-- <br /> Report from Economic Development Commission Chair Paul Zisla. 2.Annual Report from <br /> 2. Annual <br /> p Economic Development <br /> Commission Chair Paul <br /> Chair Paul Zisla provided the Council with the annual report from the EDC. He discussed the background Zisla <br /> and purpose of the EDC. He reviewed the issues the EDC addressed in 2018 and explained the group has <br /> enjoyed discussing the New Brighton Elementary redevelopment project. He commented on how the New <br /> Brighton Exchange site continues to develop and evolve. He thanked the Council for supporting the hotel <br /> study that was completed for Block B. He discussed the areas in which the Comprehensive Plan focused on <br /> economic development. He commented on the activities the EDC would be addressing in 2019. <br /> Councilmember Jacobsen thanked Chair Zisla for his great work with the EDC. <br /> Councilmember Allen thanked Chair Zisla for his great leadership on the EDC. He listed the members on the <br /> EDC and thanked each member for their valuable contributions. <br /> Mayor Johnson stated the Council values the opinions of its Commission members and thanked Chair Zisla <br /> for his dedicated service to the City of New Brighton. <br /> 3.
