February 12,2019 Page 3 of 5 <br /> She described the role of the Planning Commission and listed the members currently serving on the <br /> Commission. She stated the Commission would have several vacancies this year. She reported the Planning <br /> Commission meets on the 3`'Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.and acted as an advisory board to the City <br /> Council. She reviewed the items the Commission addressed in 2018 and discussed the development project <br /> highlights. She commented on the anticipated 2019 issues. <br /> Councilmember Burg thanked Chair Nichols-Matkaiti for her strong leadership on the Planning Commission. <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth stated she was very impressed by the hard,in depth questions the Planning <br /> Commission was asking of staff She thanked the Planning Commissioners for doing a great job on behalf of <br /> the City. <br /> Councilmember Jacobsen thanked the Planning Commission for doing the tough work and heavy lifting on <br /> behalf of the City Council. <br /> Mayor Johnson thanked Chair Nichols-Matkaiti for her great leadership and a job well done with the <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> 4.Annual Report from <br /> 4. Parks,Recivalion and <br /> Environmental <br /> Chair Kevin Fields provided the Council with the annual report from the PREC. He thanked Director Fink Commi ss ion Chair Kevin <br /> Fields. <br /> for all of her efforts and discussed the issues that were addressed by PREC in 2018. He reviewed the items <br /> the group would be addressing in 2019 and thanked the Council for their continued support <br /> Councilmember Jacobsen thanked PREC for the great work they do on behalf of the community and thanked <br /> Chair Fields for his great leadership with this group. <br /> Councilmember Burg thanked Chair Fields for his service to the City and for being a great member of the <br /> community.
