He stated he was ordained in 2014 and has been <br /> - very blessed by serving this community. <br /> Linda Harmon introduced herself to the Council and encouraged the community to get involved in the <br /> numerous ministry opportunities that were offered at St.John's Church. <br /> Pat Rother explained he was a member ofthe Communications Team at St.John's Church. He discussed the <br /> events that had been planned by the church for the year-long celebration for the church's 50th Anniversary. <br /> 2.Recognition of Scott <br /> 2. Recognition of Scott Boller,naming him as a City Ambassador upon his retirement. Boller,naming him as <br /> a City Ambassador <br /> upon his retirement. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen,seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve a <br /> Proclamation recognizing Scott Boller for his years of dedicated service to the City of <br /> New Brighton and naming him as a City Ambassador upon his retirement. <br /> 5 Ayes,0 Nays -Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Johnson recognized Scott Boller and thanked him for his 28 years of dedicated service to the City. <br /> She reported Scott would be named as a City Ambassador upon his retirement. <br /> Councilmember Burg thanked Mr.Boller for all of his efforts on behalf of the community. She thanked him <br /> for staying on with the City and for committing to the completion ofthe water treatment plant. She wished <br /> him all the best in his retirement. <br /> Councilmember Jacobsen stated he had never met anyone so passionate about their work. He thanked Mr. <br /> Boller for sharing his talents with the City of New Brighton and wished him a happy retirement. <br /> Councilmember Allen thanked Mr.Boller for his service to the community and for leaving the City with a <br /> great water infrastructure. He wished him well in his retirement. <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth explained she had not had a great deal oftime to work with Mr.Boller but stated <br /> in her short time as a Councilmember she has learned a tremendous amount from him. She commended Mr. <br /> Boller for all of his efforts to keep the City's services running smoothly and efficiently. She thanked him for <br /> his service and wished him all the best in his retirement. <br /> Mayor Johnson discussed the importance ofthe City having safe,clean drinking water and noted the City's <br /> new water treatment plant was completed due to Mr.Boller's efforts. She thanked him for this and for being <br /> a great steward in the Public Works Department and wished him a long and happy retirement. <br /> Community Assets and Development Director Schlichting thanked Mr.Boller for his 28 years of service to <br /> the community. He discussed the projects Mr.Boller had completed in the community over the years and <br /> congratulated him on a tremendous career. <br /> Scott Boller thanked the Council for the recognition and stated it had been a real honor to serve this <br /> community. <br /> City Manager Lotter commented Mr.Boller was leaving big shoes to fill and would be truly missed. He <br /> thanked Mr.Boller for his service to the City and wished him all the best in his retirement. <br /> 3.Proclamation <br /> 3. Proclamation designating May 12-19,2019 as National Police Week in the City of New designating May 12-19 <br /> Brighton, as National Police <br /> Week in the City of <br /> New Brighton. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Dunsworth,seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to <br /> approve a Proclamation designating May 12-19,2019 as National Police Week in the City <br /> of New Brighton. <br /> 5 Ayes,0 Nays -Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Johnson read a proclamation in full for the record declaring May 12,2019 through May 19,2019 as <br /> National Police Week in the City of New Brighton.
