City Manager Lotter indicated Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola would be presenting this item to the Council. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola stated the City of New Brighton is seeking authorization to move the existing salt shed building at 700 5th Street NW to a new location on the eastern portion of the property adjacent to an existing structure. Movement of the salt shed is needed to accommodate the recently approved Midtown Village development and its potential need for additional parking. Staffprovided thither comment on the request and recommended approval. A portion of this property sits in the City of Arden Hills which will require (potentially) a separate approval from the neighboring Ijurisdiction if the owner wishes to extend their use over the municipal boundary. Staff provided further comment on the SUP and reported the Planning Commission recommended approval of the request.
