Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $2,313,612.00 <br /> 6. Park Construction Company $2,326,687.81 <br /> 7. Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $2,343,785.32 <br /> 8. Geislinger & Sons $2,367,370.00 <br /> 9. Meyer Contracting $2,423,710.26 <br /> 10. S.M. Hentges & Sons, Inc. $2,634,954.05 <br /> A bid tabulation has been completed and all bid totals were verified. The low bid of $1,962,694.85 <br /> submitted by Douglas-Kerr Underground LLC is sixteen percent below the engineer's estimate of <br /> $2,329,021.50. <br /> The low bidder, Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC, has not worked in the City in recent years. Staff has <br /> reached out to other cities for whom the contractor has performed work and feel the contractor is <br /> qualified and capable of performing work of this kind and magnitude. <br /> If awarded, the contract requires project completion by October 29, 2021. <br /> project consists of the reconstruction of CM Highway 8 and 8th Avenue NW by the removal and <br /> ec p ce ce`a of the existing bituminous pavm # ,.the removal and replacement of designated sections <br /> of concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer irnOrovements, sanitary sewer improvements, signal system, <br /> improved pedestrian facilities, LED lighting, m {. andscape improvements. <br /> Professional Service Agreement prop€ ..is_ r construction staking and material testing have been <br /> received due to the overall scope of the project and personnel time required to complete:the tasks. <br /> AET professionals will conduct appropriate testing to demonstrate compliance as required by <br /> MnDOT construction standards. Both proposals are attached to this report. <br /> Costs and Funding: This project, if approved, would be funded with Ramsey County funds, TIF and MSA <br /> funds where allowed. Costs associated with the work on Old Highway 8 will be shared by Ramsey <br /> County. A breakdown of construction costs, surveying/staking costs, and construction/material testing <br /> is provided below. <br />
