Presentation from Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety <br /> Public Safety Director Paetznick stated Metro Law Enforcement Liaison Bill Hammes from the <br /> Minnesota Department of Public Safety(DPS) Office of Traffic Safety(OTS) was in <br /> attendance to deliver information about the importance of traffic safety enforcement. <br /> Metro Law Enforcement Liaison Bill Hammes explained the TZD conferences would be held <br /> virtually this year and would begin tomorrow. He encouraged the Council to consider <br /> registering for these events. He discussed how the number of fatalities and serious injury <br /> crashes has been on the decline over the past 20 years. He commented how the Office of <br /> Traffic Safety works to recognize officers for doing great life-saving police work, while also <br /> having the DWI All Star recognition program. He then recognized Public Safety Officer <br /> Austin Sentary for his great work in addressing DWI enforcement in the community. A round <br /> of applause was offered by all in attendance. <br />
