April 27,2021 Page 8 of 8 <br /> Commission Liaison Reports,Announcements and Updates Commission Liaison <br /> Reports, <br /> Announcements and <br /> Devin Massopust Updates, <br /> City Manager Massopust reported the Council would be holding a joint meeting virtually with <br /> the Planning Commission and EDC on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. He noted he met <br /> with panelists for this meeting and they were excited about this opportunity. He stated this was <br /> the first time the Urban Land Institute would be coming to the City for a meeting of this type. <br /> He indicated the City would be holding its first City-wide garage sale May 13, 2021 through <br /> May 16, 2021. He encouraged residents to register their sales with the City. He stated the City <br /> received applications for the Zoning Code Committee and recommendations would be made to <br /> the City Council at a future meeting. <br /> Graeme Allen <br /> Councilmember Allen reported the Public Safety Commission did not meet in April and would <br /> meet next on Monday, May 10, 2021. He encouraged all residents to sign up to get a COVID <br /> vaccine. <br /> Emily Dunsworth <br /> Councilmember Dunsworth reported she had an opportunity to meet one of the FEMA mass <br /> vaccination sites in the Baltimore area. She noted a similar site was being set up at the <br /> Minnesota State Fair Grounds and would open on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She indicated <br /> appointments and walkups would be welcome. <br /> Abdullahi Abdulle <br /> Councilmember Abdulle reported the Planning Commission met on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas <br /> Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas reported she attended the End Human Trafficking forum that was <br /> held by the Rotary. She explained there was a new business moving into the community called <br /> Foxtrot Marketing. It was noted this business was moving from South St. Paul to New <br /> Brighton. She welcomed this minority owned business to the community. She stated she <br /> appreciated the recent conversations she has had regarding the importance of creating a <br /> welcoming community. She provided the Council with an update on the City's efforts to hire a <br /> DEI consultant. She then discussed the meetings she had attended in the past two weeks.
