March 22, 2022 Page 5 of 5 <br />Paetznick continues to participate with the Ramsey County 911 co-design circle. He stated the <br />Ramsey County Dispatch Center was going through a process to learn how they might better <br />direct calls for service. He commented an Old Highway 8 Open House would be held at the <br />Community Center on Wednesday, March 23. He indicated the City was currently undergoing <br />an audit and budgeting for 2023 has recently started. <br /> <br />Emily Dunsworth <br />Councilmember Dunsworth reported applications for the next Nine North Executive Director <br />were available online. She indicated this group was looking for qualified applicants for this <br />position. <br /> <br />Abdullahi Abdulle <br />Councilmember Abdulle reported the Planning Commission met on March 15 where the group <br />recognized the leadership contributions of former Chair Erin Nichols-Matkaiti and made <br />recommendations for a new Chair (Todd Biedenfeld) and Vice Chair (Jeanne Frischman). He <br />stated last Friday he attended the Ramsey County League of Local Government monthly <br />meeting where the group discussed the benefits of embedded social workers. <br /> <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas <br />Mayor Niedfeldt-Thomas reported the North Metro Mayors Association held meetings over the <br />past few months and discussed cyber security and the legislative agenda for 2022. She noted <br />she attended a Ramsey County mayor/manager meeting where topics facing each community <br />was discussed. She explained the Equity Commission met last Thursday and received a <br />presentation from the Parks Department and discussed community engagement. She noted the <br />suburbanization of poverty was a topic she was addressing with surrounding mayors and <br />explained ongoing conversations would be held regarding this topic. She stated the CPY <br />Luncheon would be held on Tuesday, April 5 at 12:00 p.m. She noted the State of the City <br />video would be posted yet this week.
