Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br /> <br />Members Present: Kristin Lau, Jonas Lim, Kami Miller, Lindsay Spooner, Jason Steffenhagen <br />(arrived at 6:33 p.m.), Ruben Vasquez, and Ellen Weber <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Carlos Herrera, and Sanja Obradovic <br /> <br />Also Present: DEI Coordinator Mark Suggs, Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Fink, City <br />Manager Devin Massopust, and Mayor Kari Niedfeldt-Thomas <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Weber, seconded by Commissioner Lau to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Approved 6-0 <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Weber, seconded by Commissioner Miller to approve the minutes <br />from the February 17, 2022 meeting. <br /> <br />Approved 6-0 <br /> <br />V. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Overview of Parks and Recreation Department and Discussion on Community <br />Engagement Strategies <br /> <br />DEI Coordinator Suggs stated Director Fink had a presentation for the Commission from the <br />Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> <br />Director Fink provided an overview of the Parks and Recreation Department. She reviewed the <br />parks and golf course that were located in the City, commented on the recreation programming <br />that was provided, highlighted the offerings at the New Brighton Community Center and <br />discussed the 2040 Comprehensive Parks and Trails Plan. She provided information on the
