Financial Impact:
Under the grant program, municipalities are required to provide a 20 percent match in funds,
which totals $5,600. To offset this cost, the selected beneficiaries of the program (property
owners) will be required to enter a sub‐grant agreement with the City for payment of the 20
percent match amount. This process has historically worked well as it provides an incentive for
multi‐family unit property owners to upgrade their existing facilities at a substantially reduced
cost and also reduce their overall utility fees by installing high‐efficiency products.

________________________________________
Craig Schlichting, P.E.
Director of Community Assets and Development

Attachments:
Resolution
Metropolitan Council Clean Water Fund Grant Agreement No. SG‐17778
