The VIPS will be helping with this blood drive. <br /> <br />Public Safety/Homeland Security Update <br /> <br />Director Jacobson reported there will be some personnel movement in 2006. Detective <br />Sortor will be retiring in the spring so there will be an internal process to appointment <br />someone as a detective. There are also currently two police officer vacancies; we will <br />continue to interview candidates from the last testing process that successfully passed the <br />written test. <br /> <br />There will also be a fire captain process in 2006 as the five fire captaip positions will now <br />be appointed. The interested candidates will interview the third December and <br />begin their fire captain positions on January 1 st. <br /> <br /> <br />Tobacco compliance checks were recently done; four businesses so .
