<br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br />Motion by Commissioner Zisla, seconded by Commissioner Sauter to approve the minutes from <br />the December 7, 2022 meeting. <br />Approved 7-0 <br />V. Report from Council Liaison <br />None. <br />VI. Business Items <br />1. Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce Updates <br />Gozola stated John Connelly, President of the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce, and <br />John LeTourneau, Director of Manufacturing for the Anoka Area Chamber, were in <br />attendance to inform the Commission about 2022 successes, and the Chamber’s plans going <br />into 2023. Ideally this meeting can be a starting point for increased coordination between the <br />EDC and our local chamber of commerce. <br />Commissioner Sauter reported she serves on the Board of Directors with the Twin Cities <br />North Chamber of Commerce. She discussed the vibrant programs the Chamber hosts <br />throughout the year and stated she would love to see more local business owners and EDC <br />members attending their monthly meetings. <br />John Connelly, Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce, thanked the EDC for inviting him to <br />attend this meeting. He explained the chamber was a non-profit that worked to promote <br />business, develop leaders and connect communities. He stated he worked to keep the <br />business community up to date on issues that impacted them. He discussed the work he does <br />with the New Brighton business community and encouraged the Commissioners to visit the <br />chambers website. He commented on the new initiatives the chamber was pursuing which <br />included the Manufacturing CoHort. <br />Discussion included: <br />• Staff commented on the Critical Corridors grant the City received, which will be used to <br />assist with redeveloping the Silver Lake Road corridor. <br />• It was noted the next Chamber meeting would be held in New Brighton on March 16th at <br />Delco. <br />• The Commission thanked Mr. Connelly for his presentation and for attending this <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
